about

my story

When I was in kindergarten, I drew this picture of what I wanted to be when I grew up - a very crude crayon drawing of 5 year old me as a baker. i remember being really fascinated with how the local grocery store bakery could pipe roses out of frosting, and promising myself one day i’d learn how to make roses out of frosting.

flash forward 30 years. I’ve become a proficient self taught home baker and i was working on a s’mores cake for my dad’s birthday. I had just purchased a smoke gun infuser and had the idea to smoke to cake, because what are s’mores if it doesn’t have that campfire flavor? The results were incredible. I started incorporating the flavor of smoke into more desserts. Cakes, pies, cookies and more.
